The scientific genius Galileo Galilei, from Pisa, guides youngsters through the “Miracles” of his birthplace. The monuments he will show them all appeared during a later phase of the Middle Ages, when Pisa was one of the Maritime Republics. The guided tour starts from Cathedral Square, home to historical monuments such as the Cathedral, the Bell Tower (famously known as the “Leaning Tower”), the Baptistery, the Camposanto, and the Hospital. It then proceeds through the town, showcasing the many masterpieces of Pisan Romanesque architecture, with elements of Gothic style.
