The Opera omnia of Alessandro Stradella (1639-1682) aims to serve the performer, the scholar, and the student of music or musicology. Each volume presents an accurate musical score in modern notation to facilitate performance and study; in the case of vocal music, an edition of the literary text is also provided, both in the score and separately – in poetical layout if appropriate. Information on the sources of both the music and the words as well as a record of all editorial interventions is supplied.
La presente edizione dell’Opera omnia di Alessandro Stradella mira a soddisfare sia l’esecutore, sia lo studioso e lo studente di musica o della disciplina musicologica. Ogni volume presenta un’accurata partitura in notazione moderna al fine di facilitare l’esecuzione e lo studio; nella musica vocale viene acclusa anche l’edizione del testo letterario, sia in partitura che separatamente, indicando graficamente – dove necessario – la struttura poetica. L’edizione fornisce altresì informazioni sulle fonti del testo musicale e letterario e documenta tutti gli interventi editoriali. |
