I Nomi nel tempo e nello spazio - II

Questo volume di NOMINATIO, così come anche alcuni altri di imminente pubblicazione in questa collana, è dedicato agli ATTI del XXII Congresso Internazionale di Scienze Onomastiche che si è svolto a Pisa dal 29 agosto al 4 settembre del 2005: esso contiene le parole di saluto rivolte ai congressisti durante l'inaugurazione, le quattro conferenze plenarie e i contributi della sezione Onomastica e Linguistica. La sezione era suddivisa in due sottosezioni, ciascuna diretta da un Presidente e da due Consiglieri: a) Fonologia e grammatica, b) Semantica ed etimologia. Nelle parole di saluto è stata sottolineata l'importanza della scelta dell'Italia, e in particolare di Pisa, come sede del triennale Congresso Internazionale di Scienze onomastiche, a motivo della presenza in Pisa dell'Associazione Onomastica e Letteratura, mentre l'argomento delle quattro conferenze plenarie verteva sui progressi compiuti dalle Scienze Onomastiche nell'intervallo di tempo che ha separato questo Congresso dall'altro, il VII, svoltosi pure in Italia, a Firenze, nel 1961. Molti sono i risultati raggiunti e notevole l'impegno profuso dai relatori provenienti da tutti i continenti in quegli aspetti dove l'Onomastica al meglio rivela la propria appartenenza alla Linguistica.

Ce volume de NOMINATIO, ainsi que quelques-uns parmi ceux qui doivent bientôt paraître dans cette collection, est consacré aux actes du XXIIème Congrès International des Sciences Onomastiques qui s'est déroulé à Pise du 29 août au 4 septembre 2005 : il contient les salutations d'accueil adressées aux congressistes pendant l'inauguration, les quatre conférences plénières et les contributions de la section Onomastique et Linguistique. Cette section était subdivisée en deux sous-sections: a) Phonologie et grammaire, b) Sémantique et étymologie, et chacune d'entre elles était dirigée par un Président et par deux Conseillers. Les salutations d'accueil soulignaient l'importance du choix de l'Italie et en particulier de Pise comme siège du Congrès International des Sciences Onomastiques en raison de la présence à Pise de l'Association Onomastique et Littérature, alors que les quatre conférences plénières avaient pour sujet les progrès accomplis par les Sciences Onomastiques dans l'intervalle de temps séparant ce congrès de celui, le septième, qui avait également eu lieu en Italie, en 1961, à Florence. Nombreux sont les résultats obtenus et très important est l'intérêt qui se dégage des communications d'auteurs provenant de tous les continents pour ce qui est des aspects où l'Onomastique révèle le mieux son appartenance à la Linguistique.

This issue of NOMINATIO, along with others about to be published in this series, is dedicated to the Proceedings of the XXII International Conference of Onomastic Sciences which was held in Pisa from 29 August - 4 September, 2005. The contents of the volume include the opening address, four plenary lectures, and the presentations in the Section dedicated to Onomastics and Linguistics. This section was divided into two parts, each with a Chairman and two co-chairmen: a) Phonology and grammar, and b) Semantics and etymology.
In the welcoming address the significance of the Italian venue is emphasized and particularly the choice of Pisa as the meeting place for this triennial Conference, in view of the fact that Pisa is home to the Assn. of Onomastics and Literature. The four plenary lectures highlighted the progress that has been made in the field of onomastics since the VII Congress was held in Florence in 1961. Speakers from every continent have reported their research on those aspects of onomastics which are most intimately linked to Linguistics.

Dieser Band der Reihe NOMINATIO, wie auch andere Bände, die demnächst in dieser Reihe erscheinen werden, ist den Akten des 22. Internationalen Kongresses für Namenforschung gewidmet, der vom 29. August bis zum 4. September 2005 in Pisa stattgefunden hat. Hierin sind die Grußworte an die Kongressteilnehmer bei der Eröffnung, die vier Plenarvorträge und die Beiträge der ersten Sektion Onomastik und Linguistik enthalten. Diese Sektion war in zwei weitere Sektionen unterteilt: a) Phonologie und Grammatik; b) Semantik und Etymologie. In den Grußworten wurde von allen die Bedeutung unterstrichen, dass Italien und insbesondere Pisa als Sitz des alle drei Jahre stattfindenden ICOS-Kongresses ausgewählt wurde, weil hier der Verein Onomastica e Letteratura gegründet wurde und nach wie vor sehr aktiv ist. Die vier Plenarvorträge hingegen beleuchten die bedeutenden Fortschritte, die die Namenforschung in all den Jahren zwischen diesem und dem 1961 in Florenz veranstalteten italienischen Kongress erreicht hat. Bemerkenswert sind die Forschungsergebnisse und die Beiträge, die von den Kongressteilnehmern aus allen Kontinenten erbracht wurden, insbesondere da, wo die Onomastik ihre Zugehörigkeit zur Linguistik am besten unter Beweis stellt.
